Beta Cohort · Q2 2026 · For entrepreneurial men of color, 25–40
Men of Excellence is a virtual mastermind and brotherhood. We meet Sundays at 7:30 PM ET for 60 minutes. We check in daily. We meet in person monthly in Orlando. The Beta Cohort opens by application — free for the first 8 weeks.
Why this room
01
Sunday mastermind, 7:30 PM ET. Daily check-ins in the cohort chat. Monthly in person in Orlando. The cadence is what makes the brotherhood real.
02
I'm Joel — the first member, not the founder. The Beta Cohort is 20 men deciding together what this becomes. You're not joining my program. You're building it with me.
03
Not because the room is closed. Because the experience of building something as a man of color is its own thing, and the room is built to reflect that.
Why I'm building this
I grew up in the Bronx, where brotherhood wasn't theoretical. The men on my block, the older guys who pulled me forward, the friends who held me accountable — that was the air.
Five years in Orlando and I haven't found it. I built a marriage, raised daughters, ran businesses, and the whole time I was alone in a way I had never been alone in New York.
I'm building this because no one else built it for me. And if you've felt the same absence, this is for you.
If this sounds familiar:
Men of Excellence is the room where that ends. Not because it's a place to vent — because it's a place where men commit to each other on purpose.
The methodology
Mission · Ownership · Excellence
Three pillars. Run with brothers. On repeat.
A man isn't built by motivation. He's built by what he commits to, in writing, in front of other men, and what those men hold him to when he forgets. The M.O.E. Code is the operating system the cohort runs together. Three pillars, nine practices, every week — until the man you're becoming and the man you are stop being two different people.

The first member
Bronx-raised. Dominican American. Father of two daughters. Mid-30s. Orlando-based for the last five years.
I'm not the founder of Men of Excellence the way founders usually mean it. I'm the first member. The community I needed didn't exist, so I'm building it — for me first, and for the men running the same race who haven't met each other yet.
The first room
The Beta Cohort writes the first stories. Names, faces, and what changed will live here. Until they do, the seats they're filling are described below.
Seat 01
Founder, B2B SaaS, mid-30s, Orlando.
Building a company while raising two kids. Wants brothers who'll call the bluff when he's optimizing the wrong thing.
Seat 02
Director of marketing, edtech, 32, New York.
Married seven years, first kid on the way, taking the leap to operator. Came in because his wife shouldn't be the only one telling him the truth.
Seat 03
Real estate operator + barbershop owner, 38, Bronx → Tampa.
First in his family to do what he's doing. The men who could have shown him the road weren't in the rooms he was in. He's here to be in the room — and to be the room — for the next ones.
Beta Cohort
Five questions. Then a 20-minute call. No sales. A conversation about whether the room is right for you. Beta is free.
